The following table summarizes changes to the Design Search Code Manual implemented in January, 2007. The updated design search codes facilitate searching and examination by categorizing the designs with more specificity. For example, for the first entry, the design code 01.01.02 previously included all designs with stars having 4 points. With this 2007 update, a new 01.01.12 design code was created to include those designs with multiple stars with 4 points, and design code 01.01.02 is now limited to those designs containing a single star with 4 points. All live applications and registrations have been updated with the new design codes.
